Welcome to 2018 and to the official first post for DewBurn Interactive! My name is Kyle McCullough, and I am the founder and creative designer here. I’m super excited to finally unveil the company, the website, and not one but two upcoming games we are currently developing!
A LITTLE HISTORY
Nearly 6 years ago, back in 2012, I set out to learn game development. I wanted to learn how games were made in every capacity. I’ve spent years experimenting with many different engines, side projects, sandboxes, game jams, and studying as much as possible. I’ve always been one to teach myself and study anything I’ve ever wanted to learn, whether it be programming, Photoshop, video editing, web design, and of course game development. It has taken a lot of time and patience to get to where I am today and finally, the light is visible at the end of the tunnel.
ENOUGH TALK, SHOW ME THE GAMES!
As stated earlier, we have been hard at work with two games currently in development – code-named Project Dead Drop and Project Double-Time.
Project Dead Drop is a tactical first person stealth adventure in which players take on the role of a rookie undercover agent, Diego Ortiz. Newly employed by GeoFirm, a secret defense contractor for the United States government, you are tasked with covert operations such as hacking infrastructures, obtaining and securing intelligence, and eliminating targets, all while utilizing state of the art technology. Find and eliminate a rogue organization’s roster before they infiltrate GeoFirm’s infrastructures and blow their hidden identity. Project Double-Time, is a virtual reality (VR) title for the extreme sport of street luge, a sport in which a person rides a wheeled board at high speeds down a course or roadway, using nothing but gravity to gain momentum and their feet to brake. By utilizing VR controllers or a gamepad, players will lean side to side to avoid oncoming obstacles such as vehicles, water traps, oil slicks, and falling debris and race to the top of the leaderboard to secure bragging rights.
